Biography

Hello! I’m Carolyn, based in Metro Detroit. I’m so glad you’re here!

I’ve been an artist all of my life, and a photographer for just over 15 years, specializing in, as I like to say: “interesting portraits of interesting people”.  Everyone has something interesting, or a story to tell, and I like to interpret that through my lens. Over the course of the last 15 years I’ve captured events, senior portraits, live performances, professional headshots, boudoir, and milestones.

I’m a lover of simplicity, shooting primarily in black and white (although I do work in color as well). I want to create  iconic portraits, without the distraction of props, trends, or elaborate makeovers. I strive to create images that stand the test of time. My goal is to create strong images that capture personality,  that could be glam, sexy, emotional, intense, professional, or fun. I create images that are meant to be seen, displayed, and celebrated, whether it be for wall art, keepsakes, or even a business headshot.

I am proud to have a diverse portfolio and welcome all shapes, sizes, ages, genders and ethnicities.
